Extended & Medical Care

Unlocking Potential. Improving Lives.
The Extended and Medical Care (EMC) Program is one of the primary services offered by Children's Care Hospital and School. We offer quality medically-based 24-hour programming for children ages birth to 21. Typically the children served in the Extended and Medical Care Program are referred by school districts and/or hospitals that do not have the ability to effectively serve the child. Therefore, the program is deemed the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) that will meet the individual child's needs. This determination is made by the child's interdisciplinary team.
There are so many wonderful people with expertise in many different disciplines who work at Children's Care, and they come together every day to do what is in best interest of the individuals we serve. The best part of my job is seeing my students make progress, knowing that I am an important piece of their lives in teaching them skills to be successful. My students are my focus and the heart of my career.
