How You Can Help Haiti - Wherever You Are

By now we are all aware of the terrible earthquakes and after shocks that have devastated the small country of Haiti.  Not only were the earthquakes a horrible tragedy, so too was the weak construction of many of the buildings that contributed to the demise of Port-Au-Prince.  With 80% of the country living below the poverty line, this country is certainly in need.

The Red Cross has stepped up to help Haiti, along with many other organizations.  In any time of crisis the Red Cross is there as a reputable organization whose volunteers help everyday to make tomorrow better.  We stand in support of the efforts to help Haiti and rally behind the Red Cross to ensure supplies and food are distributed to those who need it the most.

What we are implementing tomorrow is something any organization can do to creatively raise funds.  The graphic says it all.

If you or your organization would like, please use this graphic image to help construct your own Jeans Day (or whatever option is appropriate).  When you click on the image it takes you to a higher resolution image that you can manipulate.  We’ve also provided a higher resolution image minus the personalized info so you can insert your own and use it.  Just click HERE, and it will open in a new window with the high resolution image.
The program is simple - when a person donates $3 or more, they receive a sticker that allows them to wear Jeans for the full day.  A simple approach for a great cause.  The money is then turned over to the Red Cross for supporting Haiti.

Haiti and the Red Cross need our help.  We are helping.  Won’t you?

Everyone can help and every cent helps.. look at this idea for making a Valentines Giving jug (http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/charitable-giving.html) for your family and using proceeds to help.. Red Cross is a great organization and will use whatever you give to help. the situtation down there is desperate.

"I like to volunteer at Children's Care because even though I don't work directly with the students, there are still many jobs I am able to do that help them behind the scenes. This year I celebrated my 2-year anniversary volunteering here at Children's Care!"
