As an ongoing sponsor, we are pleased to announce wonderful news! We have information regarding the annual autism conference put on by Augustana College entitled, “Lighting the Way.“ This conference is a tremendous resource for all involved in the autism community including parents, educators, social workers, childcare providers, therapists and much more.
Last year’s itinerary included the world-famous Temple Grandin. This year has just as high a caliber with Dr. Cathy Pratt. Dr. Pratt is the Chair of the Board for the national Autism Society as well as holding other esteemed positions in the autism community in her home state of Indiana. She is also a board certified behavior analyst.
Alongside Dr. Pratt is Dr. Stephen Shore. After being diagnosed with “atypical development with strong autistic tendencies” at a young age, Dr. Shore went on to complete his doctoral dissertation at Boston University to help those with autism. He is an author of several books on autism and serves as a resource to many autism communities.
Lighting the Way will be June 10-11 at the Augustana campus. To download their flier, click HERE or visit their site by clicking HERE for more information.
