POSTED: SEP 21, 2011The Breakfast Club is a group experience for kids with food aversions, swallowing problems, and oral motor difficulties, as well as "picky eaters" and children transitioning from tube feeding. An occupational therapist and speech-language pathologist will lead fun activities to help children increase tolerance of textures and smells while improving oral motor skills. It will meet October 3-27, Monday and Thursday mornings, from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. Insurance may apply.
Social Skills Group is for kids who have a difficult time interacting with peers, making friends, initiating conversations, and managing anger. Fun, group activities are led by a speech-language pathologist to help children "fit it" and be more self-aware. The group meets Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm, October 4- December 13.
For details or to register for either group, call Carla at (605) 782-2400.
