POSTED: JUL 19, 2011
The international motorcycle group Hamsters USA is sponsoring a raffle of an RSD Harley- Davidson “Nightster” to benefit Children’s Care in Rapid City.
Tickets for the bike, donated by Justyn Amstutz of National Powersports Auctions, are just $25 each. It is a Roland Sands custom sportster with all the newest and latest RSD product.
The drawing will be held August 8th at the group’s annual meeting and dinner during the Sturgis Rally.
The raffle raises funds for Children’s Care of Rapid City.
Hamsters USA is a group of about 300 custom motorcycle owners from around the world, formed in 1978. The group has adopted Children's Care as their charity, wanting to give back to the Sturgis and greater Black Hills community, which many Hamsters consider their second home.
Group spokesman Grady Pfeiffer of Escondido, CA, who has also joined the board of directors for the Children’s Care Foundation, says the Hamsters are proud of the vital help they’ve provided for children.

Every day I find myself smiling as I walk down the hallway; I just cannot get over the fact that this is my job. The smiles and laughter that comes from the students I work with rejuvenate my commitment to them and makes my soul feel whole. The thing I enjoy most about working at Children's Care, is knowing that I am helping to make a difference in the lives of every child and family I work with, and that makes me feel like I'm leading a purpose driven life.
