ALL ARE INVITED TO THE FREE "VITA" MOVIE PREMIER, AUG. 29TH!

POSTED: AUG 20, 2013

The cast will arrive by limousine--dressed to the nines—to walk the red carpet (thanks,  Carolan Rental!) into the theater.  Popcorn will be available, and perhaps even photo opps with the stars!

DVDs of the performance will be available at $10 each the night of the Orpheum screening.

Or, order by September 6 by contacting Jamie Richardson, Children’s Care Education Project Coordinator, at jamie.richardson@cchs.org

Vita featured 30 actors and dancers of all ages, with and without disabilities, including students from Children's Care, adults from other service agencies in Sioux Falls, and trained dancers and others from the community. It was funded by the South Dakota Arts Council and Excel Energy, and is supported by Augustana College, the Suzie Cappa Arts Center, and the Children’s Care Auxiliary.

VITA is a fantastical and mythical tale based on the ancient myths of Ferentina and Romulus. It begins in the ancient Roman Countryside and travels through time to the 1930s. It was written and is directed by Heather Pickering and choreographed by Andrea Schaefer – the national award-winning team of Flutter Productions. Flutter Productions creates original pieces of movement-based theatre that allow all performers the opportunity to soar and challenges perceptions of ability, through beautiful, heartfelt, and inspirational productions.

This will be a fun night! See you at the movies!

"Of course the best part of working at Children's Care are the kids and families I meet everyday. The courage, passion and love that you feel from them is amazing and makes me feel very blessed to be part of this organization. I also love working among individuals of various educational backgrounds because I am able to learn something new everyday from them. Everyone is always so willing to volunteer to lend a hand or answer a question when asked."
