Physical Therapist Christine Stephenson (PT, DPT) of Children's Care in Rapid City will present a free parent workshop, "Bowel and Bladder Challenges in Children Over Age 4" on October 11 at 6 p.m.

The session is part of a series sponsored by South Dakota Parent Connection and USD Disabilities, and will be held via the Dakota Digital Network (DDN) site in the Classroom Building at the School of Mines and Technology, 501 E. Saint Joseph Street. (Park in the Surbeck Lot)

Christine will describe the causes of many childhood bowel and bladder issues, address ideas for parents to try at home, and discuss when professional help may be needed. The event is free and open to the public, and pre-registration is not required.

The session will also be broadcast to DDN locations at the Wegner Health Science Center in Sioux Falls and McCook Central School in Salem, and will be available LIVE on the internet.  Visit under the Family Life/Parent Education Series tab for details on how to join the session or call 1-800-640-4553.

"Of course the best part of working at Children's Care are the kids and families I meet everyday. The courage, passion and love that you feel from them is amazing and makes me feel very blessed to be part of this organization. I also love working among individuals of various educational backgrounds because I am able to learn something new everyday from them. Everyone is always so willing to volunteer to lend a hand or answer a question when asked."
