950 registered walkers turned out to walk and roll to raise money for the Children’s Care Wish List. Every penny of the money raised will purchase equipment, supplies, and clothing for kids at Children’s Care.

Karley Hento of Yankton was top individual fundraiser, with Sara Sprock of George, IA coming in 2nd and Jeff Horstmeyer of Sioux Falls a close third. Brandon's Buddies was the largest team with 95 walkers. We also had a random prize drawing for all team captains--Lori Rath of Rock Rapids, IA, captain for Team Jordyn and Friends, won that drawing!  We thank all those who raised funds, donated, and walked for this event.  We also thank the Children’s Care Auxiliary, which sponsors Mall Walk, and the other volunteers who came out to help. This event is what sets Children's Care apart, by providing the extras that contribute to a greater quality of life for the kids we serve. The Auxiliary will review the Wish List later this spring, after their “Table Wear for Children's Care” event on April 28, and choose which Wish List items they are able to purchase for our kids!

"I was overwhelmed with the idea of my baby wearing a cranial remolding helmet to correct a flat spot on his head, which was caused by torticollis. The orthotists at Rehabilitation Medical Supply was so reassuring, and my son actually likes wearing the helmet! From the first day I walked in the door, I felt welcomed and reassured that they would take excellent care of my baby."
